Woldwijk Kunststipendium Open Call 2025 (English below)
Dit jaar lanceert Woldwijk een eigen, jaarlijks kunststipendium, gericht op beginnende kunstenaars van alle leeftijden, zowel professioneel als amateur, uit Ten Boer en omgeving (gemeente Groningen).
De officiële lancering zal plaatsvinden bij de afsluiting van het Dorpsterras (30 augustus).
WOLDWIJK
Woldwijk is een experimenteel gebied aan de noordkant van Ten Boer, waar allerlei mensen en initiatieven duurzaam en sociaal wonen, werken en leven in de praktijk proberen te brengen. De opgedane kennis delen we, met het doel het debat over verduurzaming in Groningen aan te zwengelen.
We nodigen lokale kunstenaars uit hieraan mee te doen, door een werk te maken dat onze waarden en doelstelling uitdraagt, door de manier waarop het gemaakt is, het materiaalgebruik en wat er wordt uitgebeeld. Het werk zal geplaatst/uitgevoerd worden op het terrein van Woldwijk. De opening/uitvoering vindt plaats bij de afsluiting van het volgende Dorpsterras, in augustus/september 2026.
THEMA
Elk jaar bedenken we een thema dat past bij Woldwijk en onze activiteiten. Dit jaar hebben we gekozen voor “wortel schieten“.
FACILITEITEN
Afhankelijk van het ontwerp is er, in overleg, werkruimte op Woldwijk beschikbaar. Als er geschikt gereedschap is, of restmateriaal, kan je daar gebruik van maken. Er zal een begeleider zijn die het aanspreekpunt is voor al je vragen en je ondersteunt bij eventueel gebruik van de werkruimte.
VOORWAARDEN
Thema: Wortel schieten
Doelgroep: Beginnende kunstenaars van alle leeftijden, professioneel of amateur, uit Ten Boer en omstreken (gemeente Groningen)
Waarden: Lokaal, kleinschalig, ecologisch, zelfredzaam, sociaal en egalitair
MATERIAAL
Hergebruikt, bioafbreekbaar, niet-reactief, landschapselementen
Resultaat: het eindresultaat wordt overgedragen aan Woldwijk (indien van toepassing)
Ontwerp: geschikt om buiten te staan (indien van toepassing)
Als je de werkruimte wilt gebruiken niet groter dan 2x2x2m en/of demontabel
SELECTIE
De ingezonden ontwerpen zullen worden getoetst aan de voorwaarden. Alle ontwerpen die voldoen aan de voorwaarden gaan door naar de selectieronde. De leden van de CV Woldwijk zullen 1 ontwerp uitkiezen. Deze kunstenaar zal het stipendium ontvangen en heeft vervolgens 7 maanden (jan t/m jul 2026) de tijd om het werk te maken.
STIPENDIUM
Het stipendium bedraagt EUR 1000,-. Het bedrag omvat zowel het honorarium als een tegemoetkoming in de materiaalkosten. Je bent vrij het bedrag zelf in te delen.
ONTWERP
Lijkt het je leuk om mee te doen, stuur dan voor 31 oktober 2025 je ontwerp op. Zorg dat je de volgende informatie toevoegt:
– Een korte omschrijving van je idee en de achterliggende gedachte. Geef ook aan hoe het idee past bij het thema en bij Woldwijk.
– Eventueel ontwerpschetsen
– Afmetingen (indien van toepassing)
– Materialen (indien van toepassing)
– Hoeveel tijd schat je nodig te hebben om het werk te maken?
– Wil je gebruik maken van de werkruimte?
– Zo ja, hoeveel tijd en ruimte denk je nodig te hebben in de werkruimte?
– Wil je restmateriaal gebruiken? (indien beschikbaar)
– Wat voor onderhoud heeft het werk nodig? (indien van toepassing)

Woldwijk Art Stipend Open Call 2025
Starting this year, eco village Woldwijk will launch its very own, yearly stipend, aimed at beginning artists, both professional and amateur, residing in and around the village of Ten Boer (county of Groningen).
The official launch will take place at the closing festivities of the Dorpsterras (August 30th).
WOLDWIJK
Woldwijk is an experimental location situated on the north side of Ten Boer, where all kinds of people and initiatives try to put into practice sustainable and social housing, working and living. We share our discoveries with the aim of stimulating the debate around sustainability in Groningen.
We invite local artist to join us, by making a piece that reflects our values and goals, in the way it is made, the materials used and the subject matter. The resulting piece will be installed/performed on the terrain of Woldwijk. The presentation/premiere will become part of the closing festivities of the next Dorpsterras, in August/September 2026.
THEME
Every year we will choose a theme that represents Woldwijk and our activities. This year we opted for “taking root”.
FACILITIES
Depending on your design, Woldwijk may be able to offer you working space. If and when suitable tools or materials are available, you can use those as well. Woldwijk will provide you with a contact, who will guide and support you and answer any questions you may have.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Theme: Taking root
Eligible applicants: Beginning artists of all ages, professional or amateur, residing in the county of Groningen.
Values: Local, small scale, ecological, self-sufficient, social and egalitarian
Material: Salvaged, bio degradable, non-reactive, landscape elements
End result: Woldwijk will take ownership of the piece (if applicable)
Design: suitable for long-term outdoor exposure (if applicable)
If you wish to make use of our work space the piece must be no larger than 2x2x2m and/or able to be disassembled.
SELECTION PROCESS
All designs which comply with our terms and conditions will be presented to the members of the Woldwijk Co-operative, who will choose the winning design. The winning applicant will receive the stipend and will subsequently have 7 months (January through July 2026) to create the piece.
STIPEND
The stipend is in the amount of EUR 1000,-. This sum encompasses both the fee and (partial) compensation for material costs. You are free to allocate the funds as you see fit.
DESIGN
If you have been inspired to participate, please send in your design before October 31st 2025. Please include the following information:
– A short description of your idea and the underlying thoughts. Include how the idea is appropriate for the theme and Woldwijk.

– If so, how much time and space do you think you’ll need in the work space?
– Would you like to use our salvaged material? (if available)
